Celebrating My Daughter’s 2nd Birthday at Downtown Disney

We just celebrated my daughter’s 2nd birthday at Downtown Disney, and it was such a sweet, family-filled day. Between the music, the lights, the food (lots of calamari and pizza at Naples Ristorante), and all the magic that comes with Disney, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to mark this milestone.

When it comes to my daughter, my nephews, and even gifts for the rest of my family, the World of Disney store is always my go-to. So, I thought I’d share some of my favorite Disney-inspired finds that made our trip extra special.

🌸 My Daughter’s Favorites

Like most toddlers, my daughter has her current “obsessions,” and Disney has them all.

  • Moana Doll – Moana has this adventurous spirit and my daughter is definitely walking in her footsteps. She loves everything Moana (especially HeiHei and Pua) and this Moana doll goes everywhere with us.

  • Ariel Doll – She’s also been carrying around this Ariel doll nonstop. I think it’s the sparkly tail — it’s the first thing she shows anyone who visits.

  • Marie Cat Plush – Soft, sweet, and oh-so-huggable. This Marie plush is what she insists on taking to bed every night.

  • Grogu Blanket – Okay, this one might be her comfort obsession. This Grogu blanket is buttery soft, and she pulls it up to her chin every time she curls up on the couch.

🚀 What My Nephews Are Into

I have a couple of nephews who are very into Star Wars (plus Cars and Legos). So of course, we had to check out the Star Wars Trading Post and Lego store.

  • Grogu LEGO Set – The Grogu LEGO set is super cute. They loved literally everything in the store and I’ve got plenty of ideas for Christmas presents.

  • Lightsaber – They loved playing with lightsabers (like for 15 mins haha). We got so many action shots and cute poses.

  • Disney Cars Toys – Both nephews love Cars toys. They even got my daughter into the series Cars on the Road and the “Trucks” episode is her favorite! Check it out, the song is very catchy.

🎁 Disney 70th Anniversary Collection – Family Gifts

One of my favorite parts about going to Disney is finding meaningful gifts for family. The 70th Anniversary Collection was gorgeous (I bought myself 2 shirts because I couldn’t pick just one).

  • “It’s a Small World” Clock – The Small World clock is such a whimsical piece. One of my family members will be getting this beauty for Christmas.

  • Minnie Ears – Classic and always fun. I grabbed Minnie ears for my best friend (and okay, one pair for myself too).

  • Castle Tote – This Castle tote is practical and magical. I got it for my sister’s birthday and can’t wait to give it to her.

Final Thoughts 💕

Celebrating my daughter’s 2nd birthday at Downtown Disney was such a special experience. It’s one of those places that brings out the magic for kids and adults alike — the music, the lights, the treats, and the atmosphere all make it feel like a celebration from start to finish.

What I loved most was spending the day surrounded by family and watching my little one’s face light up at every turn. These are the kinds of memories I know I’ll carry with me forever. If you’re looking for a way to make a birthday (or really any family milestone) extra memorable, Downtown Disney is such a wonderful spot to soak in the joy and create those lasting moments together. Now it’s time to get a Magic Key Pass.
